Last Scandal

Remember Choi Jin Sil? Yes, one of the legendary stars of Korea. She became most popular because of the drama 'Rose Life'. I didn't had the chance to watch that drama and I think I won't have any plan of watching it in the future because of I've already known the story due to it's great popularity. When I heard that she has made another drama, the Last Scandal, I waited for it until a complete copy of CD came out. In this story, again Jin Sil plays a role of a housewife who turns out to be a maid in a house of a famous star. Coincidentally, the famous star was her former boyfriend, her first love in highschool who was still in love with her and was looking for her all along.
Sadly and shockingly, this Last Scandal became the last drama ever made by Choi Jin Sil until she committed suicide. Nobody knew exactly the reason behind her tragic death, but most of her fans presume that it was because of great depression.

My Man's Woman

I've watched this drama some time in the year 2007. That year was the start of myself buying Korean CDs in a small Korean owned DVD shop somewhere back home. I was watching this drama in Korea until I had to go back to the Philippines. I forgot all about the drama when I went back home but incidentally, I saw this CD in the DVD shop and so I bought it and watched it with my mom. This drama is all about an illicit relationship, which is normally shown in most Korean dramas. However, the lustful, greedy affair had all gone by the wind until the other woman got tired of trying to understand her man. In this drama, there were no losers and there were no winners either. In the end, the hero and the heroines all lived separate lives.

Marry Me, Please

A complicated story of a family each member having different situations and problems in life. Non Koreans who would watch this might not be able to understand how the story goes because it somehow shows how strong the Korean family culture is. It says that it's all about love and marriage but I think it's all about pride and respect. Everytime I'd watch this drama and see the role of the first child in the family, ugghhhh....he is just so annoying, I just can take it.

Giant

A story of love, power, greed, betrayal, trust, hatred, money and all other related emotions you could ever expect from a classic hit drama. This drama is housed by the all time favorite popular actors and actresses portraying different characters with different interests but the story just goes around from the life of one young man. It is still being on aired and because of it's unstoppable popularity I think it still has a long way to go.

Lovers

A story of two people who were once strangers to each other living in separate worlds apart. Kim Jeong Eun, a plastic surgeon who has a lot of debt, never had an experience having a boyfriend but then fell in love with a man who's in a relationship with a sweet, beautiful woman who feels lonely in the arms of her man. Lee Seo Jin, a top class gangster (huh?), never realized what love really was until he met Jeong Eun. I have watched Kim Jeong Eun playing almost the same character in her movies and dramas but this I think was the drama where she has given all her best performance. On the other hand, it was my first time to see Lee Seo Jin, actually I didn't know that he exists until I watched this drama. Now, I'm in love with him. By the way, as Kim and Lee were making this drama, they fell in love ( in reality) and became the top couplestar in Korea. Their relationship didn't last long but I am hoping they could match up again in a movie in the future.

The Queen of Housewives

This drama just made me burst out tears of joy and sorrow. As you can see there are three different housewives showing three different characters. Each character will make us women see a glimpse of ourselves as a wife (or of becoming a wife) having different expectations from one's husband. This drama has been shown in the year 2008. Again, Kim Nam Ju is the main character in this story and I guarantee you that she'd drive you nuts from watching this realistic romantic comedy drama.

A Reversed Queen

This drama is currently rating as one of the best dramas ever made this year in Korea and I personally include it in my most favorite Korean drama list. I love the way Kim Nam Ju expresses herself as an actor as she portrays a career woman turned into an ordinary housewife desperate to get back to work and live a normal, financially secured life with her husband. I'm goind to finish this drama and won't fail to see all the chapters of the story before I go back to the Philippines for holidays. If I couldn't, then I might buy a CD of the whole story in my hometown.
